His philosophy is based on a basic premise that ‘businesses are like people’.  To care and nurture a business is akin to raising a child.  This site contains lessons that should resonate with readers, reminding them that a good business manager is like a good parent.  The key is communication driven by understanding and sharing where knowledge of the business, the market, and individuals create a progressive culture.

In 1981, David Merrill and Roger Reid wrote Personal Styles and Effective Performance where they presented the four fundamental social styles: driver behavior, analytical behavior, amiable behavior and expressive behavior. This site contains information derived from the work of Merrill and Reid.

The lessons of Jim Collins (and other notable authors) and his book, Good to Great are also referenced in this site. Good to Great can be helpful in your management journey.  A journey designed to help people realize the most from their potential.  Helping others contribute to a company and cause that stands the test of time.  In this web-site I share meaningful books and short lessons on leadership and management.

Business has a life cycle.  The best companies recognize where they are in their life cycle and avoid the traps through re-inventing themselves.  This site will take you through some lessons of the business life cycle and some tools to apply along the way.
